Designed by a joint venture of Ballinger and RBSD, the new Wilzig Hospital is the largest completely new hospital in New Jersey in several decades.  With a total of 360 beds, the facility includes comprehensive coronary and intensive care, maternity and pediatric units, a Level II trauma center and children’s hospital, behavioral medicine facilities, comprehensive general medical/surgical services, and a new open-heart surgery program.  To enhance the well-being of patients and visitors, sky lobbies with floor-to-ceiling glass are located at each level, providing natural light and dramatic views of the Statue of Liberty.  To facilitate circulation and enhance wayfinding, convenience and efficiency, abundant daylight and views to Miss Liberty provide orientation.
