The new Patient Care Center (“N” Building) addresses and resolves major campus issues for The Reading Hospital and Medical Center. The seven-story clinical structure expands and integrates critical services that are landlocked in the existing campus, and allows the hospital to replace and upgrade a large complement of inpatient beds to better serve the growing population. The building, at the heart of the campus redevelopment, houses a new Emergency Department, Cancer and Cardiology Services, a Medical/Surgical unit and an ICU. The new building emphasizes wayfinding, site circulation and a warm, inviting atmosphere for patient care.
