Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital has embarked on a substantial expansion and modernization program at their Hamilton, New Jersey campus.  The health system has completed 96 all private rooms, expanded radiology serving both inpatients and outpatients, and a new food service and dining facility, all focused around a large healing garden.  Other phases include a 600-car parking garage, 12 to 16 new surgeries and expanded Women's Services.  Ultimately, all 400 beds will be private with flexible acuity capability.  The new building is situated between two existing buildings to maximize best use of space and facilitate circulation across the campus.  Extensive daylighting, green roofs and energy efficient HVAC contribute to the project’s goal of Silver LEED certification.
