<p>The state of the art new Haemostasis Research Lab is organized to allow interdisciplinary flexibility through creation of predominantly open plan laboratories, supported by a "flex zone" within the lab. All of the laboratories are arranged at the perimeter walls to maximize the invigorating effects of natural daylight. Lab personnel have modern and collaborative open office environments located just outside the lab for safety, yet directly accessible to their lab space for convenience. Larger team-oriented spaces that are more private are located on a perimeter wall as are conference rooms, the director's office and various support spaces. The internal offices have complete access to natural light from the perimeter walls accomplished by the use of a transparent glass wall system. The offices and labs are clustered around "Science Square", the space forming the psychic center of the entire facility, affirming the commonly recognized relationship between interaction and the increased likelihood of innovation that the Novo Nordisk culture embraces. </p>
